Something new: The Sock Review

ince 2010, I have tried to find websites that delve into the subject of socks. There were not many around. That is, none that were focused on just socks, the structure, the beauty and all the fabulous uses that could be rendered with each sock. In my head I envisioned articles, upon articles, of useful information about socks. However, despite all the time and endless nights of research, I could not find a website that fit that description.

t that time, what I had found, during my research (and even now), was that there were a lot of online porn dealing with feet and sock fetishes. Naked women wearing socks. Lots of naked women in provocative poses. I decided to make an online sock store, wherein I would sell the socks, review the socks and focus it all on the feminine beauty of socks. A website that didn’t require naked models. Girly Socks was born.
I thought it would be easy. I found it would take a lot of money, time, and then life has a way of pulling you in all kinds of different directions. One of those life directions being that I am a professional musician, and the bands I played within at different IMG_1073atimes were coming first (as we started to gig a lot more into farther locations).
At one point, I lost the Girly Socks domain. The hosting company put a large price tag on it. They said it was because it had attracted a lot of hits. That had made me feel good, but I had to wait for them to release it. I waited two years and at the end of 2013 I was able to get the domain name back for a good low price. But, even then, life still was throwing curve-balls at me, and all I wanted to do was write about socks and sell socks!
I keep at it still. It was just a hobby anyway.
Well, anyways, on with the reason I wrote this post. Today, I happened upon The Sock Review blog. They had saved a pin of mine on Pinterest, which caught my attention. I read through her blog, and I really like what she is doing with it. She is providing, with class, the information I so wanted to know way back in 2010. Something I have been wanting to do, but just never have the time. Go check out The Sock Review, learn something new that you never knew about socks.

Revamped Website

I have been through so many versions of this website. This latest is my favorite, by far. socks021I have decided to show off my music, too, to the right (or just below on mobile devices). As I work on making new socks, advancing my graphic design to screen printing and vinyl cutting, ordering quality women’s socks and going through the ever-long process of Transitioning (Male-to-Female), I will continue to make Girly Socks your valuable portal of sock and hosiery information and quality online women’s only (or unisex) sock store.
